It is distributed between Turkey in the north, Iraq in the east and south, and Jordan in the south. The Mediterranean Sea borders Syria with Lebanon and Palestine; Between latitudes 32-37.5 north of the equator, and longitudes 35.5-42 east of Greenwich, with an area of 185,000 km2.
