Service supplier Approval
Firms providing following services on behalf of the owner, the result of which are used by Surveyors in making decision affecting classification and/ or affecting statutory certification, are to be approved by MMCS in accordance with the laid down procedures.
1) Firms engaged in Paint production and testing.
2) Firms engaged in monitoring, fault diagnosis and predictive maintenance systems.
3) Firms engaged in testing and maintaining fire extinguishing systems.
4) Firms engaged in manufacturing, testing and maintaining safety equipment (lifeboats, launching devices…)
5) Firms engaged in manufacturing, testing and maintaining surveillance, communication and radio equipment.
6) Firms engaged in carrying out exploration, diving and maintenance works under water.
7) Firms engaged in manufacturing, testing and maintaining diving equipments.
8) Firms engaged in supplying materials and minerals.
9) Firms engaged in Lighting systems.
10) Firms engaged in Public warning systems.
11) Firms engaged in measuring the noise level on the ship: for considerations related to choose the required level of air conditioning.
12) Firms engaged in manufacturing, testing and maintaining air conditioning systems.
13) Firms engaged in Mechanical and nondestructive tests.
14) Firms engaged in remote detection Technologies.
15) Firms engaged in manufacturing, testing and maintaining pressure vessels: such as compressed air cylinders, gas cylinders, fire cylinders…
16) Firms engaged in surveys and maintenance of self-contained breathing apparatus.
17) Firms engaged in manufacturing, testing and maintaining cables used on ships.
18) Firms engaged in Ultrasonic Tests Implementation.
19) Firms engaged in Underwater noise level measurement: to assess risks to marine life.
