Type approval
Type approval denotes the approval granted by the MMCS for standard design and fitness for purpose of a product when the MMCS confirms that the products, production equipment, basic quality control and testing system of the manufacturer comply with the regulations of the MMCS Rules after checking and previewing the required product drawings and technical documents, and checking related technology, Approval tests, field audits, technical and technological inspections, field and real inspections of real ships.
